Welp… voting rights in America is more of a disaster than ever right now. I came out of Twitter retirement to write a whole thread about how maybe Democrats shouldn’t be cheering the idea of expanding voter ID laws to all 50 states but it turns out it didn’t matter because the Senate can’t even agree to debate a voting rights bill because, you know, everything is fine and voting isn’t under attack at all in America. Cool. Cool. Cool.
In stranger news, the Olympics are going to be weird because CHEERING IS BANNED. So it’s going to be the mime Olympics basically. Which is terrible because there’s nothing worse than a mime.
In the best news this week, Andrew Yang continues to be a complete and utter loser. Maybe don’t insult literally every marginalized demographic that you can think of the next time you run for office. Or leave your house.
Have you done Whole30? If so, please send tips and recipes. It’s really not so bad at home but going out is going to be a nightmare. Why am I doing Whole30 you ask? Because I do all the things. ALLLLL THE THINGS. If there is a thing I haven’t done, send it to me, I’ll do it. But also 30 days with no french fries or popcorn is going to get boring so please send recipes and portable snack ideas.

Bo Burnham Inside (Netflix)- If you haven’t seen White Woman’s Instagram, watch it now, it’s hilarious. This show actually captures a lot of truth about the quarantine we all suffered while also being a lot of synth pop by a slightly insufferable white man. But honestly I loved it.
Darkest Hour (HBOMax)- I LOVE this movie. I own it. I watch it all of the time. Any time I need a leadership boost or just want to spend some time with Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill (which is always) I watch this movie. And it’s on HBOMax which means you can watch it too.

The Opportunist (podcast)- I probably told you about season 1, the season about the woman who started an online radio cult. It was epic and you should listen. Season 2 just started (and ended, it’s only 4 episodes) and it’s about a pharmacist who DILUTED CANCER MEDICATIONS. This is a real thing that really happened. Trust no one.
