The #hurriquake was yesterday’s news, and, let’s face it, in this apocalypse, we’ll be seeing a lot more where that came from. The next Sharknado will be a documentary.
Today’s news is ALMOST AS EXCITING AS A HURRIQUAKE: I’m going on a real life book tour! With bookstores and bookfairs and bookpeople and everything! When I wrote this book the idea of being near other humans and having a book tour seemed impossible. But now we’ve all had fifty eleven vaccines and book stores survived! So in less than a month I will embark on my first ever (but hopefully not last ever) book tour and I’m coming to a city near you!
These are the first cities on the docket but more will be added in the coming weeks so stay tuned! I’ll be joined by incredible local politicians and I will definitely have swaggy goodies for attendees (insert wink emoji).
More info coming soon and in the meantime PREORDER MY BOOK!
What to do:
Watch
The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge (Netflix)- I love that Nailed It is continuously reinventing itself and this season’s baking challenge is so much fun. It’s actually kind of amazing to watch some of the worst bakers you have ever seen become extremely competent at the end and proves that anyone can do pretty much anything (or, at least, become a decent baker) with enough time and good coaching.
Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire (Disney +)- This Afrofuturist animated series is pretty phenomenal, First Totem Problems, is my favorite but really they’re all beautiful.
Telemarketers (HBOMax)- The best thing about this documentary is that it shows that anybody with a camera, curiosity, and guts can make an engaging documentary. And also that those Fraternal Order of the Police stickers you see on cars are, predictably, scams.
