How are you spending your stimmy?
The Dems did it again. Fought themselves over an imaginary enemy and produced a bill that provided far less than it could have with zero Republican votes. We’ve seen this before. At this point, it’s hard to imaginary that they’re not doing this on purpose. They could have given us all unicorns and free trips to Mars but here we are, celebrating the smallest of wins. But hey, did you get a stimmy? What are you spending it on? Food, rent, copious amounts of wine?
Is anyone else feeling major anxiety about going back into the world? I don’t wanna. I don’t want to wear clothes. I don’t want to talk to people. I don’t want people to see me from behind. I don’t want to breathe air that other people are breathing. I want to continue the zoom life. I take it all back. Please don’t tear me away from introvert heaven. I’m not ready.
In other things that should not be happening right now, Los Angeles has opened indoor dining, gyms, and movie theatres. LOLOLOLOLOL.
I attended a photography lecture this week and discovered the greatest photo series of all time.

My mother and grandmother have now been vaccinated. Yaay science! And mostly yaay Dolly Parton because they both got the Dolly vaccine aka THE ONLY VACCINE THAT MATTERS. My post-COVID travel list is long and also probably fake because I am never breathing in other people’s germs again so planes are out, but towards the top of the list is Dollywood. The fact that I have never been is one of the great shames of my life. Ping me if you want to come.

Torchwood Season 3: Children of Earth (HBOMax)- If you like Doctor Who or other fun but creepy sci fi shows, this show is for you. It has without a doubt the creepiest, most horrifying reveal I have ever seen.
The Last Blockbuster (Netflix)- First of all, the nerve of Netflix to stream this show. Second, I MISS BLOCKBUSTER.
Operation Varsity Blues (Netflix)- This documentary about the college admissions scandal reenacts the recorded conversations and boy is it something.

Maintenance Phase- Dr. Oz (Podcast)- You think you know how bad Dr. Oz is. You have no idea. Also, one day we’re going to have to sit down and have a long, honest talk about Oprah.
Heaven Bent (Podcast)- This podcast has my favorite podcast theme song of all time. It’s a bop. It also explores wild religious situations so I obviously love it. Season 1 covered this Canadian tent revival craze that made me realize that Canadians are just as crazy as we are. Season 2 is about Bethel Church and The Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry which is just as amazing as it sounds.
Paper Airplane- Alison Krauss and Union Station- The top three albums of all time are Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder, Rumours by Fleetwood Mac, and Paper Airplane by Alison Krauss and Union Station. This is not up for debate. There are no other answers. All other albums can go home.

I just saw a beached whale at our beach here in LA. Apparently something is killing grey whales. It was devastating.
