This weekend I went to see Alto Knights, which was, unfortunately, terrible. I apologize for recommending it on Friday but, actually, SORRY NOT SORRY, I should not have to be the only one who suffered through watching De Niro vs De Niro As Joe Pesci.
ANYWAYS, the best part about that theatrical experience was the sweet Snow White popcorn tin I scored:
Is this not the greatest thing you have ever seen?? IT HAS A LID AND DOES MAGIC! They did not make popcorn buckets like this when I was a kid back in the Ol’ West. This led me down a popcorn bucket rabbit hole and, y’all, look at these magnificent creations:
I may be starting a popcorn bucket collection. These masterpieces must be preserved.
I love finding joy in the small things. Like super rad popcorn buckets or the memes coming out of the pretty horrific security breach perpetrated by the stupidest people on the planet. In this age when Departments of Education can be burned to the ground but somehow we still owe student loans, we need small joys, like awesome popcorn buckets. For all of the comfort eating.

This week’s podcast episode features my brave friend Dulce Vasquez! Dulce ran two courageous campaigns for office in Los Angeles and is now using social media to inspire people to vote, get involved, and live their best lives. This was such a fun convo, find it wherever you get your pods or following the links below!
What to do with yourself
Watch
Devil in the Family (Hulu)- If you haven’t been paying attention to the Ruby Franke saga, let’s just say it should be the nail in the coffin for family vloggers. I recommend the linked podcast for the full story, but this documentary is particularly interesting because her husband and two of her children are in it! I was riveted.
Taskmasters (YouTube)- If you love game shows or people doing ridiculous things for comedic prizes, Taskmasters is the show for you. My friend Russ got me into this show and now I can’t stop watching. So be warned that this will become an addiction.
Adolescence (Netflix)- Everyone is talking about this show and I get why, it’s about murder among middle schoolers, the radicalization of young boys, and how hopeless parents feel when the internet is raising their kids. The topic is interesting, the show itself is a little melodramatic for my tastes, but it may be worth watching just so you know what everyone is talking about.

I listened to The Telepathy Tapes and really debated about whether or not to recommend it. Then I found this and now I would say listen to the podcast but then read the article. Does telepathy exist? Almost certainly. Does this podcat prove it? Almost certainly not.
