Is it even possible to be disappointed by Texas anymore?
Or Florida?
Or California?
If I was in charge, everyone would have gotten $2000 a month in stimulus and COVID would have been over in six months. Just something to think about during the next Empress of the Universe elections.
In good news, SYDNEY KAMLAGER WON!!! Woo! California has a Black woman in the state senate again! One. Whole. Black. Woman. For the most populous state in the union. Woo? But yaay. Sydney is amazing and I’m so thrilled I was able to endorse her with two different orgs. Thanks to all who donated and supported!
Speaking of amazing candidates, we just endorsed Shahana Hanif for Brooklyn’s 39th District City Council race. Shahana has done incredible work getting IDs for her Bangladeshi Muslim community, fighting for access to healthcare, and so much more. She is a much needed voice in New York’s city council and we are really thrilled to support her.
My friend Tracy Chou is very smart and very brave and her new social media tool may be for you.
I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE CHICKENS.
Watch:
Ted Lasso (Apple TV)- This show. I cannot express delight in enough words to tell you how wonderful this sitcom is. Cancel your day. Watch this. You’re welcome.
Made You Look (Netflix)- I love a forgery and this one is fantastic.
Murder Among Mormons (Netflix)- More forgeries, this time with Mormons and murder most foul.
Listen:
The Opportunist (Podcast)- If you know me, you I love a cult, especially a tiny homemade one. I’d heard of Sherri Shriner before but this deep dive is a delight. PS if anyone would like to start a cult book club we can start with the book where Shriner INTERVIEWS THE ACTUAL DEVIL and follow that with the one where she tells us about how aliens are coming to end the world. Move over China Mieville, I have a new favorite author.
The Clown and the Candyman (Podcast)- Is anyone not a pedophile?
Rumors- Because it’s always a good time for Fleetwood Mac.

Oh hey, I’m in Buzzfeed. Remember when they were just listicles?
Twitter is charging. They always should have been, but now it’s too late.
This is possibly the best thing ever written about the disaster known as Clubhouse. I haven ever deleted an app so fast in my life.
